Thank you to the Year 6A children for reminding us about Advent. They told us that the the first day of Advent is the first day of a new Liturgical calendar and begins a four week period of preparation for the nativity of Jesus Christ at Christmas. Year 6 reminded us that the Advent Season is all about reflecting on how we can prepare our hearts and homes for Christ's birth in the world as it is today. The traditional themes of Advent allow us—through meditation, prayer, and affirmation—to contemplate ways to share our deepest gifts: hope and faith, peace, love, and joy.
