St. John’s had two teams participating in the Derry Cup  Football Tournament at St. Cecilia’s Sports Centre on Tuesday. Both teams performed very well with the Yellow team reaching the final of the Derry Cup after wins over St. Anne’s, Ebrington and Lisnagelvin before losing out to St. Eithne’s in the final. The Blue team were beaten in the semi-final of the Shield competition in a very tight game against eventual winners of the shield, Ebrington. As ever, our children did St. John’s proud through their performances both on and off the pitch.
