Miss Mellon’s class had a wonderful day exploring the ancient Celtic rainforest in Donegal. They encountered animals that once freely roamed Ireland, including wolves, bears, lynx, and wild boar. The children enjoyed an interactive learning experience with very knowledgeable guides who took them behind the scenes to learn how a wildlife sanctuary operates, sparking interest in conservation and animal care. The highlight of the day was seeing the bears enjoy a treat of rainbow trout! Centre staff commented on the excellent behaviour and good manners evident throughout the trip. Well done Year 6!
