Update on school opening next week

Published: 31st Dec, 2020

Dear Parent(s)/Carer(s)
I hope you have managed to find some joy this Christmas
despite the Impact of the ongoing Pandemic and subsequent restrictions.
As a consequence of the Education Minister‘s statement this morning, regarding school restart, I write with an update on school opening next week.
From Tuesday 5th January 2021 all children will be taught remotely using Teams/Seesaw. This also applies to identified groups of children who will be supervised in school. Please note that face to face teaching will not take place for any children. Access to remote learning will be given to children requiring school site supervision.
Additional information regarding children permitted into school and/or any other matters will be issued on Monday 4th January 2021. Please note that the definition of a child of a key worker is a child for whom both parents (or a parent in a single parent family) are key workers, with no other safe alternative.
Please be assured that I will keep you informed of any necessary updates. The school office staff will be available on Monday to assist with any concerns on Tel 71264046.
I wish you and your families every blessing for 2021.
Yours sincerely
Geraldine O’Connor
