We were delighted to welcome back one of our former pupils to St John's as Niamh McLaughlin spoke to our Year 6 and 7 classes about her sporting career. Last week Niamh received an Al-Star Award from the Ladies Gaelic Football Association, and she was voted as the best player in Ireland by players across all 32 counties. Great recognition for a top sportswoman.
Niamh shared some of her experiences with the children about her time playing a variety of sports in St. Johns, representing Ireland in the final of the under 17 European Championships in football and captaining Donegal Ladies Gaelic team in Croke Park. Niamh is a fantastic role model, and she has helped to inspire our children to make the most of the sporting opportunities that come their way.
Niamh Mc Laughlin meets her biggest fan.
