On Thursday, Saint John’s took part in the annual Fr Gallagher Cup at Faughenvale GAC. The tournament consisted of 24 teams which were a unique mixture of boys and girls. Our boys and girls played wonderful football throughout the day and battled their way to the shield final against an excellent Hollybush side. In an enthralling final, it t proved virtually impossible to separate the two sides with Saint John’s eventually claiming victory with the very last kick of the game. A massive thank you to Faughenvale Primary School for organising such a fantastic competition.
