The Yr 6 children were delighted to welcome back Dr Helen Shiels with two Ulster University students as part of the ASPIRE programme. Berin and Blathnaid spoke about their school experiences and how they became so independent as they grew up. Berin travelled from India to study at UU Magee and has loved living in Derry. Blathnaid is a Derry girl who studies in Jordanstown. She is an avid sports fan and plays for Moville Gaelic team and UU teams. Mr Mullan has already persuaded her to come on board and help us with our teams. All in all they really enjoyed their visit to our school and look forward to seeing the children at their special ASPIRE graduation day in June.
