Our football team took part in the finals of the NISFA 5 a side tournament in Lisburn. St. John’s met representatives from Belfast, Lurgan, Carrickfergus as well as fellow Derry team Hollybush. All the games were very tightly contested with most decided by one goal victories. The boys had a really enjoyable day and even after the tournament had finished our boys stayed on to play a friendly match against Victoria PS from Carrickfergus.
St. John’s would like to congratulate Hollybush PS on winning the tournament. It is always good to see teams from Derry having success against teams from other regions.
