P6A enjoyed learning how to calculate the 'volume' of 3D shapes. First, we visualised a variety of shapes and estimated how many cubes were used to make these. Afterwards, we did a more practical 'hands-on' activity using centimetre cubes to build and calculate the volume of the shapes. This helped us to understand how 3D space is measured and use the formula LxBxH (length, breadth/width, height) to calculate 'volume'.🧊🧊🧊
