Fair Trade at St. John's

St John’s is now an officially recognised Fairtrade school. In order to achieve this a Fairtrade Committee comprising of 10 yr 5 – 7 children was formed in April 2011 and they  devised a Fairtrade Action plan and policy. To date they have:
> conducted a baseline survey
> learnt about Fairtrade through a variety of subject areas
> designed Fairtrade posters

In June 2011 the committee presented their work to date at a Fairtrade conference held in North Coast Integrated College. This presentation has been published in Japan.
Fair Trade Friday on the 18th November is to introduce Fairtrade to all the pupils of the school.
